To encourage
is to en-courage ~ putting courage into someone. The Lord Jesus Christ
wants to do this to you ~ and He wants you in turn to do the same for
others. I can give you my words of encouragement, but the words of our
Lord are absolute truth, living, really powerful and, therefore, able
to really give you strength. I encourage you to read and talk to the
Lord Jesus the follows words from His Word.
Matthew 11:25
At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and
earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned,
and revealed them to little children. 26 Yes, Father, for this was your
good pleasure. 27 “All things have been committed to me by my Father.
No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father
except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. 28
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you
rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and
humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke
is easy and my burden is light.”
Isaiah
41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am
your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my
righteous right hand. 11 “All who rage against you will surely be
ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and
perish. 12 Though you search for your enemies, you will not find them.
Those who wage war against you will be as nothing at all. 13 For I am
the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you,
Do not fear; I will help you. 14 Do not be afraid, O worm Jacob, O
little , for I myself will help you,” declares the Lord, your Redeemer,
the Holy One of Israel.
Isaiah
40:29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the
weak. 30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and
fall; 31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They
will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they
will walk and not be faint.
